Baaaaand, Take The Field!
Listen...do you smell something?
The cool crisp fall air (yes, I know it's August and really hot right now. Just go with it.), the bratwursts and kielbasa dogs on the grill in the parking lot, the beer and liquor being spilled at the tailgate party...
It's almost college football season.
The NFL's fine, but college football is where the real tradition is. The fight songs, marching bands, Bo, Woody, Bear, JoePa, Touchdown Jesus, and classic rivalries. Only hockey stirs up more passion in me than college football. This is the time when I throw all rationality out the window and generally wish bodily harm every Saturday on all those not wearing Maize and Blue, or more specifically, anyone wearing scarlet and grey, green and white, or blue and gold.
And like any true Michigan fan, I sit back and wonder:
Why the hell are we ranked #4 in the preseason AP poll? No way should we be up that high!
One thing's for sure: I was gleefully happy to see that neither Nebraska nor Florida are even ranked yet. As Mrs. Krabappel would say: HA!
I'm warning all of you now-in 2 weeks, the blogs could resemble the rantings of a raving lunatic every Saturday.
