We had Subway for dinner today. Just like we did 15 years ago.

I don't know how different the times really were then. Gas prices were relatively high and going higher. We had or were going to have troops in Iraq. The economy was blah. There was going to be or had just been a Batman film. But Lisa and I were in college, and none of that really mattered much then. The only thing that mattered was that we were starting our journey.

It was a Sunday, so the dorms weren't serving dinner. Those were massive pizza nights with everyone, but we didn't want everyone around. So we wandered into town and had Subway. Just us...finally.

So we did it again today, except this time we had an extra 6" sub for Christie and some baby food for Amy. It wasn't as quiet, but it was just as good. Maybe better.
